Accepting New Patients!
Jesse Gardner, DMD
At Gardner Pediatric Dentistry, we love what we do! As a Board Certified Pediatric Dental Specialist, Dr. Gardner has the privilege of working exclusively with infants, children, and teens. Our sole focus is making dental visits for young patients safe and fun! Of course, going to the dentist can be intimidating, especially as a child...and that's why we feel our job is so important. By helping children of all ages feel comfortable and at ease going to the dentist, we believe that we can help children actually enjoy coming to the dentist.
Our office is located on Walnut Lawn St. just east of National in Springfield, Missouri. We provide care to patients from the Ozarks, including Springfield, Nixa, Ozark, Branson, Republic, Bolivar, Marshfield, Battlefield, Willard and all of Southwest Missouri!
Why a Pediatric Dentist?
Dr. Gardner is a Pediatric Dentist who has dedicated additional years of rigorous training after dental school to focus on the needs and concerns specific to children from birth to eighteen years of age. Pediatric Dentists provide comprehensive preventive and restorative care to children and teens while focusing on their emotional needs to help guide them through the experience. At Gardner Pediatric Dentistry, we believe that every child deserves the highest level of gentle, compassionate care to shape positive experiences at the dentist, beginning at an early age. By helping children develop a positive attitude about dental care, we believe they will practice improved oral care habits which can prevent a lifetime of dental problems.
Happy Teeth. Happy Kids. Happy Life!
We want to do our part to contribute to the health and happiness of both child and parent by:
- Providing the best possible oral health care.
- Understanding that each child is unique and listening carefully to each child and parent's concerns.
- Providing a fun and imaginative environment to help children and parents feel comfortable.
- Treating each child the same as we would treat our own children, with kindness and gentleness.
- Focusing on prevention. Although we repair teeth with cavities, we believe that the most important thing we do is help prevent cavities from developing in the first place. We are all happiest when your child is cavity free!
When to Start?
It is almost never too early to bring your child to the dentist! The American Academy of Pediatric Dentists and the American Academy of Pediatrics recommend that all children be seen for their first exam by their first birthday. During the first visit, Dr. Gardner will gently complete a comprehensive oral exam as you hold your child. Dr. Gardner will discuss home care, listen carefully to any concerns, and give information about what to expect in the months and years ahead.
We always hope to evaluate infants before any oral problems arise, and do our part to prevent tooth decay or other problems from developing. The earlier a child visits the dentist, the more accepting and trusting the child will become of dentistry as a component of general health care. We believe so strongly in the importance of early childhood dental care that our dental exams are free for children under two years of age!*
